Swallowtail Shawl

The reason for my lack of progress on last week's WIP of the week.

A very quick knit.
Started on 30th March, finished (the knitting of) on April 5th.  Just five evening's worth of knitting (I'm not monogamous to my WIPs).

Blocked last night after work.

What a rush!  I use those interlocking playmats, with a sheet thrown over.  On the bed.  The bed which we sleep on.  Of course the shawl was still wet by bedtime (seasilk), and we had to manoeuvre the mats off the bed onto the floor.  I then had to remember not to step on the pins.

Tonight we took photos.  What a treat, being able to take outdoor photos when I get in from work. Daylight at 7.10pm!

Pattern:  Swallowtail Shawl,  Interweave Knits Fall 2006.
Yarn: Seasilk, Rose Garden, one skein (with 7g left over).
Needles: 3.50mm.

This is a larger shawl than my first attempt, using the Misti Alpaca Lace.

Beautiful shawl! I agree with you that I love light evenings too.

Crikey I only just read the post about you starting the shawl and here you are modeling it! Beautiful!

I reckon you have taught the mice in your office to knit, and they do it through the night.....

Ooooo - that is a pretty shawl. Love the colours.

You put my knitting progress to shame!

That is amazingly fast!
And I love the colour of course.

Gosh that was quick, and it looks like it took you weeks.
