Abysmal progress, I'm afraid.
It's this yarn. Malabrigo Silky Merino. A real PITA to knit with. It's sfot and loosely spun and I cannot tell you how much tinking has been involved. My needle keeps missing the stitch and catching the fluff. I can't just drop and pick up again (when I notice, after lots of rows) so I just tink back, slowly. So twice as much work has gone into thise so far. The yarn looks fine at a tichter tension, still soft and not rigid. However the colours have a very slight variation in the colour (looks like a dye accident to me) so sometimes the stitches seem to disappear, where the dark yarn has a lighter bit and the lighter yarn has a darker bit. Oh well, won't be using this yarn again, for mittens.
Monday - hardly any progress made due to tinking back.
Tuesday ditto
Wednesday was mitten top, twice.
and Thursday was the thumb (no frogging!) and the cast on of the second mitten (started three times, not enough done to bother with a photo.
I'm a bit behind on the schedule, which was 2.75 mittens per week (don't ask). It means that I need to get this second mitten finished by noon tomorrow! And I coud knit another mitten, plus sew in ends by Sunday evening ... except
...acrylic yarn plus crochet hook beckons:

I'm loving the wide range of colours you have

I think I would have given up and frogged the whole thing. Good on you for sticking with it Dawn!

It's very pretty, though! I used a tiny sample of that silky yarn, but I was just putting a bit in a seed stitch scarf, so not very fiddly at all! Mine had the colour variation, too, and it worked well for me, but it's not quite the thing for two colour knitting, is it?
