Not doing too well here! I chose just two coours, silver and silver ocaean. I had my reservations about Silver Ocean - green with bits of silver - becasue the two colours might merge al little. But I went with this option because MrC was very enthusiastic abou teh two colours together (he was given a limited option, he'd have probably gone for red and yellow!) and green is one of his least favourtie colours.
i didn't think about POOLING. And it had to happen. The silver in the green.silver pooled between the CC silver rows.
It doesn't look that obvious here, but in real life it's glaring. So I frogged and went yarn hunting again. I want to sue the silver as a contrast colour but decided not to go with the burgundy/red I'd chosen as a second option. Instead I've gone for navy. I've yet to cast on but will concentrate on this over the weekend. Clue 3 is due out on Monday! I'd like to catch up!
Yes, I've reached the halfway mark! But I'll be adding beads to the final lace border which will be time consuming. I found some grey beads, just a few tubes, enough (I hope!) for t he bottom border.
I'm glad that I decided to knit this using two colours. I'm ready to start the ribbed section in te darker colour. might do this over the wekend, but it depends on how my MKAL knitting goes.
Not even thinking of the other three shawls on the needles!
