Happy Birthday to my little sister, September is a very busy month for us. Seven dates to remember.
Guess who forgot to take photos this monring?
I've only been working on the Asana shawl this week. I thought, on Sunday evening, that I'd completed 49%, but when I checked on Monday evening i'd only knitted 40%. So I'm very pleased to have reached the 65% mark. I usually don't do much knitting in the evenings, I get in at 8pm, and by the time I've chilled, eaten, washed up (if it's my day!) and chilled some more I have about 30 minutes knitting. Just before bedtime, so I'm very tired, and sometimes when I look at my row I see that I've been knitting on autopilot and not following any pattern! It's not great with lace. I do better knitting at the weekend! This week I've tried not to chill and just ot knit, earlier on in the evening.
I have 26 loonng rows until cast off!
So this weekend will be:
FINISH Asana shawl
START Wavy Bias shawl (DK, end to end for a change)
RESTART Amulet. Yes, I'm ready to restart this, It helps that the yarn colour is a bit more sombre. I'll feel like it's a new WIP and not a rstart.
I'm still undecided on yarn choice for both Quill and Shetland Trader's MKAL, which starts next week. Having looked at Quill I'm now thinking of going with Fetled Tweed. I have black, green and a pink or a red to be the third colour. The striping for the body is alternating A and B with C bing involved every so often. The border is B and C (I think, just had a quick look). I shall do a littel tension square to see how the colours knit up.
The MKAL needs four colours. I'm just not even going there yet!
