I seem to be hitting another knitting blah. After the Herculean sock knitting effort last week, I've lost my steam!
And hardly any bleeding photos! My camera battery died over the weekend, and of course the charger is at work, where else?
So you'll just have to take my word for it that I've
1) Finished the left front and half a sleeve of my WW cardigan.
The back is already done, and the fronts are inclusive of bands, which is always a relief come sewing up time.
This is pretty boring knitting, but my row tension is way out, so I'm trying to adjust as I go. It doesn't help that we still don't get detailed diagrams with our knitting patterns. I like to see all measurements, not just the length and sleeve seam.
and 2) Started a Flower basket shawl for the Evelynclark Knitalong in Kaalund Expressions, Poinsettia. I've only just started this, so there's really nothing to show, even if my camera had been working over the weekend. I've found a well thumbed copy of the charts with the pattern, so I think I've started this shawl several times but not finished it. Wonder where the partial Flower Basket shawls are lurking?
I've done the heel and am now marching up the leg on the STR socks. Mary had a disaster with her short row heel. If you look closely, you might see what I've done with my loose stitch - pulled it up inside to tighten the stitch, and caught the slack on a higher row. Usually I just rearrange the other stitches to take up the slack, but in this instance it didn't seem to be working well (or that bottle of red wine had something to do with it!), so this was the second option.
Still love the colour! I'm up for some more of this!
And finally, I've joined Flash the Stash 2006! As I have my stash in 3 places, there'll be 3 photos. The office photo will be taken one evening after everyone else has gone home, and the Putney photo when Chris is in the pub (not that he minds, and he knows exactly where it all is, but in one pile it might look rather alarming for a tiny flat). The third and most impressive will need daylight and several hours to tidy up afterwards. Yeah, yeah, I can photograph the boxes, but won't it be awesome to see it all out on the floor?
I am sure you will finish the Flower Basket Shawl this time! You MUST because it's a knit-along... And it will be a little less on the stash photo...

I've gone and signed up for the Knitalong too. Apparently STR will ship to the UK - bet you really needed to know that didn't you!

How are you finding the Expressions is knitting up? I got as far as the third repeat using my Expressions yarn but I simply could not see the stitch pattern. Perhaps blocking could have improved it. I'll be interested to see how yours turns out.

I just noticed that I began reading your blog on 3/15 last year. I may forget on our one year anniversary....I'm bad like that.
So happy anniversary dear, !

I can't wait to see the stash. Hope it is worse than mine. I was doing so well with stash busting, encouraged by your stash in/stash out concept. Then the new seasons booklets came out...I was lost.
