I apologise for going awol. I've just not had any significant knitting news.
My red alpaca silk women's weekly cardigan is progressing, just the collar and seaming to do now. All pieces are knit, but as is always the case, I finished late last night, and a raggy bit of knitting in dim light (especially if it's red) isn't photogenic. Soon, I'll have this one finished! It's my March Stashalong project and I'd really like to finish it before the end of March.
Sockapaloozer news.
I've been knit-knit-knitting away like mad on my sockapalooozer socks. But I also keep frog-frog-frogging like mad! In my last post I'd decided to go with ribbing after several unsuccessful attempts at lace socks.
But I just don't like them.
Switchback socks, bought (downloadable, instant gratification!) from the Knitting Zone.
The travelling rib pattern isn't showing up well with this yarn. I'm also not very good at knitting a 4x2 rib, my fingers keep forgetting it's 4x2 and try to fool me into knitting 3x1.
So, at the weekend I started another pattern, Savannah Socks
I much prefer these ones, they rather remind me of my go with the flow socks.
That's all the knitting news (shocking, I know).
Why so little knitting? Well, I'm concentrating on getting photos together of my stash for Flash the Stash day on April 1st.
It's been fun but rather alarming. As it's all over the place (as well as being in three places) it's been a nightmare getting it out and then putting it away again. I've only done two places so far. I may end up just taking a general shot of box es for the main stash, it will be too much work getting it out (and I sneeze afterwards). I can't wait. So far I have six (!) photos and that's not even half of the stash!
I really like the Savannah socks - the pattern goes very well with the yarn. Can't wait to see all your stash flashing!

Dawn, I hardly dare ask, but: did you finish that stripey cardigan from the Rowan Vintage book? Can't remember it's name. I really liked it...

I can hear the sneezing from here. I'm off to meet Jill shortly along with a sock in progress and Poetry2. It's not raining....at the moment!
