Presenting STR in the Scottish Highlands colour.
60 sts, toe up, on 2.25mm needles. This photo was taken waaaay past my bedtime, and the ends aren't even sewn in!
I used my kitchen scales to approximately halve the skein and it worked out very well!
There's about 1.5m difference in length, not bad!
And here they are on sockblockers.
That toe is absolutely fine and identical to the other toe, it's my arrangement on the sock blockers that's distored the toe. (I have this habit of whipping out the camera late, late, late at night, anything to delay bedtime, when I'm overtired).
That's the third pair of socks that I've finished this month, plus the felted clogs. And I'm now concentrating on my sockapalooozer socks. I spent last night knitting and ripping, knitting and ripping, but I think that I'll be going with a ribbed pattern, rather than a lace one. Pics coming when I'm convinced. An inch in, there's suspicious pooling activity on the leg! It may work out, it may not, I'll need to knit a few more inches to see how the pooling develops before I decide if they're keepers.
oh how pretty. I've had a pretty socky month too... and if I focus on them one pair at a time, I might actually get more done ;-)
love those socks that rock ..

Your socks are beautiful, such lovely colours too!
Now please, what's your secret with the heels? They look perfect, not a hole in sight. I have to know how you do it as I have yet to find the knack and I love shortrow heels.

I agree with the others about the loveliness of these socks, however, you said they're on "sockblockers". What the heck is a sockblocker? I'd love to know where you got a knifty tool like this.

Oh, lovely socks. Must get back to my Sockapaloooza ones, although my heels aren't looking as good as yours!

Great socks. I really must try that yarn sometime. I too am curious as to where you bought your sock blockers.
