I love knitting baby stuff, but there aren't a lot of babies to knit for at the moment. My friends children are now all teenagers (one's 20 this year!) and my youngest niece is 9.
We found out a few months ago that Chris's brother and his girlfriend are expecting a baby, but I've held out knitting anything until after the second scan. She's now 20 weeks pregnant and I think it's time to get out the knitting needles!
I was over at the stashflat last night, searching for baby pattens. I really must sort out the books stash. I've lost a load of patterns which have been favourites for baby knitting for years. And a couple of books I think.
This was the main baby book stuff. I found another pattern stash in the bedroom (mainly vintage, ridiculous stuff) and a couple more baby books hidden in magazine racks. And then there's the knitting magazines or general knitting books with patterns in. I really must sort through them all and see what's in them!
Anyway, tomorrow is another Stash expedition. I'm meeting up with Jill in the morning, and expect to do a little more stash building, but this time baby stuff. Stay tuned!
Another trip to Stash. Lucky you! I think I need to get in and get some of the Handmaiden Silk fairly quickly before it all goes...

I've only 10 weeks left until the baby is due and apart from the beautiful (but expensive) patterns from the likes of rowan and debbie bliss, I've found it difficult to find unisex patterns which were not just stocking stitch or really outdated!

And I thought I had it bad!! How many trips to Stash is it now? I'm off to the Liberty preview evening on Wednesday and I can't wait!

So what do you get today then? I'm dying to know - I loved the cardigan Jill made from One Skein in Blue Sky cotton - how cute!
