due to being poorly with the cold from hell.
I started feeling ill last Monday, and today, day 12, I'm still rough, Last Saturday and this past Wednesday I've had sleeping all day days, and still slept at night. MrC actually came over and poked me after a four hour marathon sleep in the chair, as I was so still he thougth I was dead! (I didn't even stir,m but he saw I was breathing)
So not much knitting done. Two rows on the body of my cardigan over the entire weekend, I couldn;'t even summon up energy to start something new as the stash, knitting, ravelry did not appeal. Only sleep!
Fingers crossed I'm on the mend. The cardigan's really boring at the mooment and I fancy somehting like a hat or easy shawl, brain perm9itting.
Meanwhile, here's some December FOs.
A pair of Frankenstein socks. When MrC went to Berlin in November to visit his son he brought me back 2 x 100g balls of DK sock yarn. I knitted a pair of socks for his C hristmas present, and used the leftovers to knit a second pair of socks for my brother. I didn't quite have enough yarn for the toes, so finished these off with some more DK sock yarn MrC bought me for my birthdya in January.
And some Welted fingerless gloves
I've made this pattern before. Instead of knitting a few rows of thumb (which drives me mad) you do a one row buttonhole for the thumb opening. A nice touch, whenb you do it right. I seem to have dropped a stitch and there's some unravvelling going on there!
I'm hoping to finish off a pair fo socks for MrC this weekend. I'm pretty optimistic about this, as I'm down to the toe decreases on the second sock :) Next, one pattern repeat (=10 rows) on Storm Mountain cardigan. I may not be motivated, but if I can manage a few repeats each week it will get finished!
