Well, it looks as if Autumn is here. We still haven't put on heating, but the weatehr is definitely cooler. Funny how 16 degrees at this time of year feels cold, yet 16 degrees in Spring feels warm!
At the beginning of 2018 I decided to curb the yarn purchases. I have pleny of yarn. I'd already committed to two yarn clubs, though one has ended, and apart from that I've only bought yarn twice. Once in May, which has already been knitted up, and last week, just one skein of 4ply. Otherwise I've comfortably kntted from stash - and it's hardly made a dent!
I forgot to mention that the Woodstack mittens were knitted from 3 year old stash, and the World's easiest mittens was leftovers from a scarf which I knitted for MrC in Nobember 2009.
The other WIP, another Simple yet effective cowl, is being knited in some Manos Silk Blend, leftovers fro a dropped stitch scarf knitted in September 2008!
I've just cast on a ribbed hat for dad, in Debbie Bliss Luxury Tweed Aran It's not tht brilliant for ribbing, doesn't snug up as well as a nice solid yarn, but it's dad colours, a light brown colour,
- black hat for dad
- red mittens for MrC
- cowl #4 in CA Lord of Silk dk in Attack!
- cowl #5 in a dark colour There may be more, I'll see how it goes for the rest of the month. I must remember thqat there's only another 20 days left in September, and 15 of those are work days with very little knitting time!
