Getting there. Apologies for the photos. My mobile camera isn't working very well. Too sunny - no good. Too dreary - no good. I need briht. cloudy wether! So these are taken quickly, at work.
Another hat, This is a free pattern on ravelry, Rafa's Hat, A good basic hat pattern. The only downside is that it's 1x1 ribbing, my least favourite stitch.
Another cowl, Simple yet Effective. These are super squishy cowls, and I knit them long enought to pull up over my hhead if it's cold enough. This one's a Christmas gift, knitted in Countess Ablaze Lord of Silk DK, in the Attack! colourway.
MrC's mitts. A pattern called Handsies, knitted in the largest isze with no pattern on the back. Originally I was going to knit him some mittens, as last winter he complained about cold hands and wore my mittens several times on extra cold days, when he went out for his walk. Turns out he really wants mitts, as he thinks they will be less bulky stuffed into his pockets. The idea is that when it's cold, and he puts his hands into his pockets, the pockets are cold, so if he has mitts he'll keep his hands warm and can curl up his fingers to keep them warm inside the mitts. I've added extra cuff which he can fold down if he wants poroper mitts.... these aren't any less bulky than mittens :)
Now I'm down to MrC's 6-fach socks (one done, the other started) and another Simple yet Effective cowl, the lat for a while. I'll be rummaging around and getting yarn and starting this this week. I've been steering away from ravelry, in case I'm tempted by the shawl and garment patterns, but not for much longer!
