feOops again. I've been a bit preoccupied these past few weeks and haven't felt much like blogging. Just after Christmas MrC mentioned that he'd been haivne chest tightening for a few months, but it didn't hurt and he'd wait until January when he was scheduled to have some blood tests and see his doctor. Long story short he was referred to the rapid respnse cardiac unit, went in for an ECG and interview, then a CT scan and finally had an angiogram and a stent put in last Monday, Trying to persuade MrC to take it easy and seriously has been a challenge. Even after having the stent put in he was saying that he feels like he's wasted their time on him! He had an episode a few days later, and thought he'd wait and seebefore contacting the hospital... he's been on a few brisk walks and went swimming this morning. And it's helped that he's found out his old schoolfirend had it done a few years ago!
I have been knittingjust small stuff. I wanted to knit a few baby cardigans and a few baby hats and I've done three cardigans. All simple, all in aran weight. My fourth is in DK and just started.
My next project will be either a jumper or cardigan for me. I don't have many jumpers, and wanted to knit one before I get excited about Spring and warm weather and put away the woolly knitting. I have some dark olive Jaeger merino (probably EFM) which was originally a jumper knit in the nineties, from an old Knitters pattern. I frogged it abut eight years ago, after finding moth holes (and it was too large). I'm thinking of a simple top down jumoer and have found a few on ravelry. The first one is Flax, a free pattern from Tin Can Knits. Another free pattern is by Heidi Kirrmaier which I think is called Summer Tweed. I'll have a look at the patterns before deciding, I think it'sll be the latter, my tension is more suited to that one!
Whilst stash diving to find the yarn, I've come across more aran, this one is Debbie Bliss cashmerino aran in a light olive. IT's about as old as the Jaeger, a couple of decasdes. THIS might make a nice cardigan. Heidi Kirrmaier has a new pattern out, might be one to try. Regardless, I;ll be casting on soemthing before the end of the month!
